Intensive care unit (ICU) delirium is a common and severe manifestation of critical illness. It can occur in up to 80% of mechanically ventilated ICU patients and leads to longer lengths of stay and increases the risk of mortality. The etiology of ICU delirium is not well-elucidated, making pharmacological treatments difficult to target. This podcast will discuss the risk factors, definitions, and treatment of ICU delirium.

From the 2021 Midyear Clinical Meetings, researchers with the support of the ASHP Foundation share the preliminary results of their ongoing study that looks at satisfaction levels of pharmacy technicians working in ambulatory care.
